New Start, New Year
LCS are pleased to announce the opening of Waterloo Grill, Mepham Street, just outside Waterloo station in London. The site, famously established over 50 years ago as a flower stall run by Buster Edwards (the great train robber) the ‘snack bar’ had been run into the ground. LCS instructed SRL Countertech to commission and build a brand new unit for the site with the highest specification and equipment. ‘Being involved in almost every part of the build and installation meant that we were totally in control so that we could ensure ease of use for the operator and the highest possible compliance with environmental health’ said Managing Director Ozzie Hussein. He continued ‘The menu is varied, from croissants and full English breakfasts to jacket potatoes and freshly prepared sandwiches to muffins and fresh ground coffee, in all we have something for everyone.’
The unit is proving to be very successful; we already have many regular customers, a good reputation and a Highly Commended Hygiene rating of 4 Stars from the London Borough of Lambeth. We are open 24 hours a day 7 days a week so why not pop by and give it a try?

An iconic part of Great British heritage
London Catering Services have recently taken delivery of a newly converted 1954 Morris J Type Ice Cream Van.
Originally found ten years ago in a farmer’s field near Stone Henge, the van was rotting away, with a tree growing through the middle! Its purpose then was to house the farmers chickens!
Project restoration commenced, parts were collected from all over the UK and all the panels were restored to their former glory. Finished with hand painted artwork the van is now an iconic part of the Great British heritage.
